My eyeballs have been glued to the TV (specifically on the Olympics) for the past 10 days.  We’re leaving for Miami on Saturday so I have a lot to do this week (pack, transport the cat, etc).  The weather forecast looks grim for next week in FLA: thunderstorms all week long!  I guess I’m alright with that because it could be worse like Hurricane #7 coming through. That would suck if we had to deal with that nonsense.  I just want to leave the D/M/V area for a good bit before summer’s out.

I’ve enrolled at UMUC, finally.  I’m taking seven credits (all online classes):  Business Finance, Information Systems, and Library Research.  I’ve decided to downgrade from 9-10 credit semesters to 6-7 ones so I can keep my sanity in check.  It’ll take me a good half-year to a year longer to finish but at least I’m still at it.  I was so close to just ix-naying the whole school thing but to be honest I’ve been bored as hell this summer so I decided to just do it.  I think I’d rather have some added stress than the added pounds from sitting on the couch all night long.

Olympic Fever

I love the Olympics! Four years ago I said I would go to China but lo and behold, I’m not there.  *sigh* Maybe London in 2012? Maybe… Or Vancouver in two years? One Jurry, A Million Dreams!

Snake Dreams

August 8, 2008 at 2:00 pm (Judy-isms) ()

I had a crazy dream last night.  Most of the details are fuzzy but I remember I was with friends or family and we were at a friend or aquaintance’s place.  It was a really old, unkempt, cabin-like space.   The most vivid part in the dream involved snakes.  Actually many snakes. They were everywhere.  The setting of the house was in the woods or similar environment where snakes would dwell.  At first it started with a small snake, like a garden snake. Fairly harmless but still startling to see.  Then it progressed to bigger snakes and more gruesome snakes.  Each one was killed somehow with the help of another or me trying to step on it.  One did bite me but I was okay.  I was waiting for my tongue to swell up but it didn’t.  The final snake was a Medusa, with many tentacles.  It was black and it looked more like a scorpion.  I grabbed a knife block and threw knives at it, one by one like darts.  I was able to kill it and yellow pus came out of its wounds.  Freaky.

I googled the possible meanings and came up with internal struggles, life, birth, death, evil, heaven and earth, healing (medicine), sexual oppression, and fear.  Interesting….
